Types of Users

Administrators of the electronic signature site, for example, managers at court reporting firms who manage billing, allow people to sign transcripts using their account, and so forth. Additionally, a court reporter who owns a small business or works freelance can set up an account, administer it, and sign transcripts.

Authorized User Administrators set up by administrators who can review the billing, purchase more signatures, delete other authorized users, and so forth.

Court reporters known as authorized users who enroll with E-Transcript Signatures so that administrators can add them to their billing accounts. For example, assume a freelance court reporter occasionally does work for Example Reporting LLC.  The freelance reporter enrolls with E-Transcript Signatures but does not purchase signatures. Why not?  Because Example Reporting LLC is also enrolled with E-Transcript Signatures, and it provides signatures to the freelance reporter who then uses them when signing transcripts electronically. Administrators or authorized user administrators can add authorized users to billing accounts.

Note about the Purchasing Signatures option: If you are subscribed to the Unlimited Workflow or Unlimited Multimedia plan (that is, you pay a monthly fee for RealLegal products and services), you do not need to purchase signatures. RealLegal provides them as part of your subscription. If you need more signatures, contact reallegalsubscriptions@thomsonreuters.com.

Court reporters, if you use Reporter Edition, your production department may be able to provide you with signatures.
